McGrath City Honda is one of eighteen teams racing for a cause in this year's third annual "Drive for 75," a six-hour karting endurance competition for charity. The goal is to raise $75,000 for DuPage PADS (Public Action to Deliver Shelter), a non-profit agency in Wheaton, IL that serves the homeless by providing housing, support, and employment.

Experienced go-kart drivers have teamed up with Continental Motors Group of Naperville, Chicago Indoor Racing, and DuPage PADS for this exciting fundraising event. It is to be held on Sunday, February 24, 2013, from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm at Chicago Indoor Racing in Addison.

"This is a serious race for a serious cause," said Kevin McGrath, owner of McGrath City Honda and team captain for this event. "We will compete over 500 laps in six hours."

McGrath City Honda not only volunteers time to race in the go-karts, but is also responsible for soliciting donations to reach its team's goal. Individuals can support their favorite team by pledging a team donation through the DuPage PADS website at http://www.dupagepads.org. Visitors to the website, which is updated daily, can also view real-time team fundraising levels on an event thermometer. The top fundraising teams will be given a racing advantage, which encourages each team to work hard raising money for this worthy cause.

"McGrath City Honda is proud to participate in this event benefiting DuPage PADS," continued McGrath. "This amazing organization helps so many people and is greatly needed and appreciated in DuPage County."

For twenty-seven years, DuPage PADS has been offering hope through its services to homeless individuals and families. The organization also arranges job assistance, GED education and testing, case management, and life coaching, which enables individuals the ability to become self-sufficient and helps them end the cycle of homelessness. Over the last year, DuPage PADS served 29% more families and 39% more children than before; successes like these depend on community support, like the "Drive for 75" event, to continue assisting those impoverished.
